look for vascular dissection or vascular injury.

Secondary to the gunshot wound.

And you'll see that there is air in the soft tissues

in the posterior neck from where there had been

However, if you look carefully in the spinal canal,

which I highly recommend, even when you're doing a CTA,

you'll notice that there is a collection of blood

that can be seen displacing the thecal sac

on the right side, and that blood products extends

into or adjacent to the neural foramen.

This identifies it as being epidural in location

rather than a subdural collection,

displacing the spinal cord to the left.
