Course Description

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of mortality in the US, and Cardiac MR (CMR) is increasingly utilized in the evaluation of patients with ischemic and non-ischemic cardiomyopathy. Join Dr. Bradley Allen (Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine) as he provides background and evidence associated with CMR for ischemia evaluation, as well as his approach and interpretation of CMR stress perfusion.

Dr. Allen also gives an overview of coronary artery disease pathophysiology, key imaging sequences, viability imaging, and acute myocardial injury evaluation.

Take this course to improve your understanding and comfort of CMR interpretation, learn about CMR tools and techniques for ischemia/infarct evaluation, and review evidence supporting the role of CMR to diagnose numerous pathologies related to ischemic heart disease.

Read alongside Dr. Allen as he walks through his approach to using CMR in the evaluation of patients with:

  • Coronary Aneurysm with LAD infarction
  • Embolic MI
  • Acute Myocardial Infarction RCA
  • Suspected CAD
  • Mimic of Acute MI: Myocarditis
  • ...and more!

Optimize your learning:

  • Test Yourself - Before starting the video, launch the DICOM study and complete your independent review of the case in our diagnostic web viewer.

  • Review at your own pace - Reminder to utilize the video player features to speed up or slow down the video, pause or rewind to best fit your available time and learning needs.

  • Read alongside Dr. Allen - Keep the DICOM study open while you watch Dr. Allen review the cases. We suggest popping the DICOM viewer open in a new window and viewing side by side with the video on your screen.

After you’re done, check out these additional Cardiac Imaging Mastery Courses for further in-depth case review:
