REPORT
History: Trauma
Technique: Axial CT scan images were performed from the foramen magnum to the vertex without administration of intravenous contrast. Multiplanar reformats were performed.
Findings:
5 mm convex hyperdense extra-axial collection along the left temporal convexity (Key Image 1). No intraparenchymal hemorrhage. No midline shift, herniation, or hydrocephalus.
Gray-white differentiation is intact. No acute transcortical infarct. No hyperdense vessel. Parenchymal volume is age-appropriate.
Small left parietal scalp hematoma with underlying nondisplaced fracture of the left temporoparietal calvarium. Displaced bilateral nasal bone fractures. Additional minimally displaced fracture of the left zygomatic arch.
Orbits are intact. Paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear.
IMPRESSION:
5 mm epidural hematoma along the left temporal convexity. No intraparenchymal hemorrhage.
Nondisplaced fracture of the left temporoparietal calvarium. Displaced bilateral nasal bone fractures. Minimally displaced fracture of the left zygomatic arch.
