<p>be &ldquo;on call&rdquo; for the emergency department via exposure to the most likely emergency diagnoses.</p>

HISTORY:  Anterior Knee pain after a fall.


FINDINGS:  There is a predominantly transversely oriented intra-articular fracture of the patella. There is displacement of the articular surface with cortical offset. A knee joint effusion is present. There is mild anterior soft tissue swelling. The femorotibial joint space is mildly narrowed medially.


IMPRESSION: Patella fracture as described.
