REPORT 


HISTORY:  Patient previously fell down the stairs approximately 2 weeks ago with pivoting injury of the right foot and persistent pain.


FINDINGS: There is a subacute fracture involving the proximal fifth metatarsal metadiaphysis. There is mild callus and periosteal new bone formation. Negative for appreciable angulation or displacement. Fracture is localized approximately 26 mm distal to the base of fifth metatarsal. No other fractures are identified. There is pes cavovarus deformity.


IMPRESSION: Subacute proximal fifth metatarsal ("Jones") fracture in satisfactory alignment.
