<p>Welcome to ED MSK Cases! In this course, you can tackle cases from the Emergency MSK Mastery Course, randomized to simulate the Call experience. REPORT


HISTORY: Elbow pain. Patient fell.

FINDINGS: There is an intra-articular fusion within the elbow with moderate regional soft tissue swelling and subcutaneous edema. There is a comminuted intra-articular fracture of the olecranon with dislocation of the radiocapitellar joint. There is a suspected additional fracture of the coronoid process of the ulna.

Alignment of the wrist is satisfactory. Negative for fracture in the mid-to-distal forearm. There is mild distal joint space narrowing at the fourth and fifth DIP and PIP joints.

IMPRESSION:

Acute comminuted intra-articular fracture of the olecranon with dislocation of the radiocapitellar joint. There is an additional suspected fracture of the coronoid process of the ulna. Intra-articular effusion and dorsal soft tissue swelling.

No acute osseous abnormality in the mid-to-distal forearm, wrist, or hand.
