<p>Welcome to ED Body Cases! In this course, you can tackle cases from the Emergency ED Body Mastery Course, randomized to simulate the Call experience. Refine your reading and interpretation skills by scrolling through the cases using our diagnostic web viewer. Determine your findings and answer the corresponding quiz question.</p>

TECHNIQUE: US Abdominal limited right upper quadrant.

COMPARISON: None available.

FINDINGS:

Liver: Diffusely increased echogenicity consistent with fatty liver. 

Main Portal Vein: Patent with normal direction of flow.

Gallbladder: Distended with cholelithiasis including a stone in the gallbladder neck. Borderline gallbladder wall thickening up to 3 mm.
Murphy's Sign: Positive. 

Biliary: Intrahepatic biliary ductal dilatation. The common bile duct measures 11 mm, with a possible CBD stone versus impacted stone in the gallbladder neck.

IMPRESSION:

1. Intrahepatic biliary ductal dilatation secondary to choledocholithiasis versus large gallstone in the gallbladder neck.
2. Distended gallbladder with borderline wall thickening and positive sonographic Murphy sign, could represent an early cholecystitis.
3. Hepatic steatosis.
